Athena had surgery today to remove a large lump. What did they call the procedure? A lumpectomy of course. We picked her up from Minnehaha Animal Hospital around 5:30 today. Dr. Schuld told us he thought her stitches look like a big zipper. I'd say he's right!. He also told us she'd be pretty groggy for a while. She's doing lots of whimpering but he told us that's normal as the anesthesia wears off. She seems a bit disoriented but we were told that's normal as well.
