Walking Athena

It's finally starting to feel like fall out there. I got Athena to stay still for a quick moment while we were out walking today.

No Cone Head

Athena didn't get a cone to prevent her from tearing out her stitches. She got an inflatable collar. 

Athena's Surgery

Athena had surgery today to remove a large lump. What did they call the procedure? A lumpectomy of course. We picked her up from Minnehaha Animal Hospital around 5:30 today. Dr. Schuld told us he thought her stitches look like a big zipper. I'd say he's right!. He also told us she'd be pretty groggy for a while. She's doing lots of whimpering but he told us that's normal as the anesthesia wears off. She seems a bit disoriented but we were told that's normal as well.
