Sophie's favorite toys were plush animals with squeaky devices inside. The first one she ever had was a gorilla. She would attack it viciously trying to get at the squeaky piece inside. One of our favorite movies has the line "Kill Thorndyke!". We'd say it whenever she went at the gorilla so we named that particular toy Thorndyke. As soon as Thorndyke was eviscerated she started chewing the squeaky part which we took away from her as it was small enough to swallow. At a recent stop at a shopping center Dale and I came across the hedgehog toy pictured above. We gave her this same toy after Thorndyke was destroyed and named it Rochelle (I'm not sure where the name came from)who was also eventually torn limb from limb.
