Athena didn't get up until about 10:30 a.m. to do her morning job and that was after I got her back up. She went #1 at about 5:30 this morning when Dale took her out after getting up himself. Usually by 7:00 a.m. she's letting us know she needs to go out to go #2. She lasted about 3 minutes outside this when I got her out. She went #1 and #2 and then looked up at me as if to say, "Well?"

She jumped up on the couch as soon as we got inside.

It's always so hard to get Athena to sit still for a picture. This time she came through. I pretended to have a treat and she bought it. I felt bad about deceiving her so I went to the fridge and got her some string cheese.

She's so good.

Athena and Dale

Dale posted this on his blog a few days ago: 

"Athena was impatiently waiting for me to begin dinner tonight. It's her favorite time of the day because food sometimes falls on the floor and being the helper she is, always cleans it up! Delicious dinner btw. Baked Coho salmon, baked vegetables, Texas toast and a glass of wine, followed by cherry pie and whipped cream."

No, Athena did not get any cherry pie. Or anything else for that matter. Well, maybe a piece of broccoli.

Dale out for the evening. Athena and I are managing on our own. Our girl turned 10 in early August!

Sweetness

Picture taken just a few days ago. Many folks have commented lately how grey Athena is getting around her mouth. It's become much more pronounced in just the last year.

Doggie Treats

Tonight Dale and Iwent to The Lowbrow, one of our most favorite neighborhood restaurants. In addition to people food they also sell locally made dog treats which I had them add to our bill so I could indulge Athena. They come two in a pack. One, a heart, and two, a star. She loved 'em.
