Sophie's Art
I took the old photo of Sophie's window nose smudges and ran them through some different filters on a photo finishing website. This one is my favorite. It reminds me of a flower or, maybe, a winter moon. The original photo was taken in the winter. The whitest part of the photo is actually the flash reflecting off the garage window and shining back in.

It's the Fourth of July
I'm hearing fireworks going off in the neighborhood. In about a half an hour the display down the street at the park will begin. Every time I hear fireworks I can't help but think of Sophie and how she hated them. I still miss her so much.
